Sunday morn saw a wet start but commitment was already in place to meet at 7:30am in Darebin for a ride toward the north east. The rain let up about 10km from home, and a puncture with about 3km left meant a good chance to thaw out my hands in the patch of sun that finally pierced the clouds.
Tuesday night's plan was to stay 'high n dry' riding the Yarra trails toward Studley Park. The 25mm of rain that fell across Melbourne over the past couple of days had topped up any puddles that had drained, making some pretty muddy going.
...and then today... the rain had cleared across the north to north eastern suburbs so I figured the Tour de Burbs would be a good session. What a smashing!! spent the whole ride off the back doing everything to keep anyone in sight. Red-lining from the word go I got more than the training session I'd set for myself. There's a lot of work to do!
